Abstract
The history of the edition of the collection of articles in honour the academician o. i. sobolevsky in the light of v. m. peretts’s correspondence The history of the edition of the collection of papers in philology and Slavic studies in honor of the outstanding Russian philologist-Slavist, the linguist, the palaeographer, the specialist in folklore, the academician of St. Petersburg and the corresponding member of the Bulgarian and Serbian academies of Sciences Olexiy Ivanovych Sobolevsky (1857-1929) is covered in article. Source of the research was correspondence of outstanding Ukrainian and the Russian philologist, academician All-Ukrainian and St. Petersburg academies of Sciences of Volodymyr Mikolayevich Peretts (1870-1935) with domestic and foreign philologists and Slavists. Correspondence of the academician V. Peretts is kept in personal fund of the Ukrainian literary critic S. Maslov at the Institute of Manuscript of the V. I. Vernadsky National library of Ukraine. In the paper special attention is paid to participation of the Ukrainian scholars in the collection. The role of the Ukrainian scolars in preparation of the collection of articles is revealed. Participation in the edition of collection of articles in honor of O. Sobolevsky of the European scientists, the Ukrainian and Russian philologists and Slavists who were in emigration or worked abroad is displayed. In article it is shown that V. Peretts sought to unite domestic and European scientists around relevant scientific projects. The conclusion is drawn that the edition of the collection of philological and slavistic articles in honor of the academician O. Sobolevsky became possible thanks to persistent organizational activity of the academician V. Peretts.
