Abstract
Food security is one of the key problems in the system of national security of Russia. The agrarian policy as a component of the economic policy of the state in the sphere of agriculture and the agroindustrial production, directed on ensuring food security and preservation of resource capacity of agro-industrial complex is analyzed in the article. The level of food security is offered to be estimated according to the criteria of foodself-reliance of the country, economic availability and safety of food production.
