Upper cervical Potts disease managed conservatively- a case report

Abstract
Introduction Upper cervical tuberculosis is common in pediatric and adolescent population. Most of these patient can be treated conservatively .CaseIn this study we present a 15yrs old female with typical clinical and radiological features of upper cervical Potts disease with neurological deficit. She was treated with ATT and supportive measures. Result The response to conservative measures was good , she was completely relieved of her neck pain, gained weight, normal appetite, walks normaly without support, with good range of neck movements. Radiologicaly , there was complete resolution of soft tissue mass and restitution of destroyed cervical vertebrae. Conclusion Antitubercular chemotherapy and immobilisation yields complete clinical and radiological resolution.
