Abstract
A 27yr old G2P1L0 with previous intrauterine death with 32 weeks of gestation referred as a case of uncontrolled chronic hypertension with admission blood pressure of 200 by170 mmHg. On examination her lower limb pulses are feeble and lower limb blood pressure was 90 by 70 mmHg. A differential diagnosis of Coarctation of Aorta was considered and started on combination of antihypertensives and was evaluated. Her Echocardiography shows no features of Aortic Coarctation. The only positive finding was a bilateral contracted kidneys. Further evaluation with Renal Doppler and MRI Abdomen reveals a narrow Abdominal Aorta and a diagnosis of MIDDLE AORTIC SYNDROME was made. She was monitored with Doppler and Non Stress Test and she delivered a term male baby at 37 weeks by Labour Natural. Postnatally she was planned for Angioplasty.
