Abstract
The Islamic Revolution of Iran, as one of the great revolutions in the world, has a unique ideology, and the increasing prevalence of this ideology has created a challenge to the ideology of the ruling system. This ideology has both been influenced by the elites and the Islamic movements of other countries and has mutually affected them. Therefore, the present study, which seeks to "investigate the influence of the Syrian and Egyptian Muslim elites on the ideology of the Islamic Revolution", after expanding the conceptual space of the subject, will examine the status of the Islamic revolution and its characteristics. According to the thematic documentation presented in this study, the research method is descriptive-analytical and the data collection method in this paper is a library data collection. The findings of this study indicate that, firstly, the Egyptian Muslim elites, by proposing the Islamic State, the struggle against colonialism, and the revival of genuine Islam as the only way out of the crises in the Islamic world, have influenced the ideology of the Islamic Revolution. Secondly, rationalism, the rule of law, and freedom and constitutionalism are the three distinctive features that distinguish the ideologues of the Islamic revolution from the Egyptian elites. Third, in examining the influence of the Egyptian elites on the ideology of the Islamic Revolution, it should be noted that the influence of the Egyptian elites on the ideology of the Islamic Revolution was far more than the influence of the other elites of Muslim countries.
