Professional communication of a foreign language teacher as a component of a communicative competence

The article deals with the theoretical and practical issues concerning a future foreign language teacher's communicative competence development, in particular, its component - professionally aimed foreign language communication. The article discusses the essence, the structure, the components and the functions of communication, interpersonal interaction and the dialogical nature of communication. The interpersonal interaction, the communicative competence and its connection with the theoretical-linguistic competence as the components of the communicative competence are defined. An experimental set of tasks aimed at the communicative competence development was developed and implemented.
