Current trends in the development of the European gas market

The article is devoted to the identification of modern problems of gas market development and the search for the ways of overcoming them for the main suppliers. The suppliers, transportation methods, modern structure and trends in natural gas imports to Europe are investigated. A comparative analysis of world leaders in total proved gas reserves iscarried out. The economic and geopolitical components of implementing classical investment projects in the aspect of the gas problems are considered. The priority directions for developing the economies of the countries, leading in gas supplies to Europe have been formed.
