The state of poverty rate in the modern world economy

The article reviews existing concepts of poverty in economic science, reveals its categorical content, and exposes the main methodological problems and contradictions associated with the assessment of poverty in various countries. The analysis of institutional problems of poverty and factors of its qualitative and quantitative dynamics, caused by the globalization of the world economy, has been presented. The process of differentiation of the level and quality of life of the population in the conditions of growing social welfare, which formed and developed the poverty of working people, has been investigated.
