Possibilities and restrictions of exporting wood biofuel by producers of the Komi Republic

The article presents an analysis of the possibilities and limitations of wood biofuel export by producers of the Komi Republic. It is shown that the export of wood pellets from Russia to Europe and Asia is gaining momentum. It has been determined that the enterprises of the region export less than 17% of wood biofuels from the total volume of output, and is economically inexpedient for a significant part of Komi producers, both domestic and foreign. The main factors limiting the export of wood biofuels from the region are highlighted. The research results are of practical importance for managing the development of production and consumption of wood biofuels in the Komi Republic. A continuation of this study should be to identify problems and prospects for the development of the bioenergy industry.
