Abstract
Background Mullerian duct anomalies represent some of the most challenging disorders encountered by obstetricians. The incidence is 0.2 to 7.4 .(1) It is associated with infertility, recurrent miscarriage, malpresentation and obstructed labour. (1).Therefore it is of great importance for early detection of abnormalities and appropriate management of these cases. Case Report 19 years old, G2A1 was admitted at ESIPGIMSR at 39 weeks of gestation in labour. Caesarean section was performed for obstructed labour and delivered a live term baby. A non pregnant uterus in the pelvis of about 10 weeks size , lying anterior and to the right of gravid uterus was found. Vaginal examination revealed a longitudinal vaginal septum. Conclusion In cases of successful pregnancy in didelphic uterus, literature shows pregnancy located in the right uterus predominantly. The present case is interesting as it is rare and reports single successful pregnancy in the left uterus.
