Abstract
The article explores the peculiarities of the competitiveness of products of machine-building enterprises in the context of European integration. The analysis of indicators of the development of engineering in Ukraine for the years 2005-2016, which indicates a low level of competitiveness of our state in world markets. The main problems of engineering enterprises that significantly affect the indicators of product competitiveness are highlighted: outdated main assets of Ukrainian enterprises, their low investment attractiveness, the lack of a number of high-tech industries in Ukraine, low competitiveness of many types of products of domestic enterprises, insufficient number of skilled workers, low level of competitiveness of the economy of Ukraine. It is proposed to carry out the development of scientific and methodological approaches to the management of the competitiveness of products of machine-building enterprises, which would not only take into account successful international experience, but also could be applied in a pure form in the context of Ukraine European integration.
