Abstract
The article investigates the term motivation and the students' problems of motivation in English language's studying process and the motivation systems. The effect of motivation on the productivity of studying foreign language is determined. Modern methods of motivation and their impact on students are analyzed. Theoretical and practical approaches to application of some methods of motivation are grounded.
