Abstract
The article contains the information about the issue of participation of official witness in criminal proceeding. This article contains the procedure of invitation, requirements, official witness`s rights and duties, analysis of national criminal procedural law, the legislation of foreign countries and decisions of the European Court of Human Rights. The article also contains ways of elimination gaps and conflicts in legislative regulation.
