Abstract
As a result of the analysis of various definitions, the concept of staff motivation is formulated. The features of tangible and intangible motivation methods used in Russian companies are considered. The role of motivation in personnel management is revealed. The necessity of motivating employees to increase labor productivity, work quality, achieve goals and maintain corporate spirit is substantiated. The influence of the motivation system on personnel in the conditions of the economic crisis is revealed. The main recommendations on the development and implementation of a motivation system that takes into account anti-crisis measures and strategic goals of the company are proposed.
