Abstract

In the 20th century, Mustafa Cokay was one of the most influential leaders who had a great effect on the history of Turkestan. He held important positions in Provisional Government of Turkestan (Kokand) Autonomous and Alash Orda. After Bolsheviks came to power, he continued to struggle to gain his country's independence inland and abroad. During the Second World War, articles about the leader Mustafa Cokay were published in the journal Milli Turkistan, which was published in Germany on June 15th, 1942. In this paper, Veli Kayyum Han and other Turkestani writers who had a chance to work with Mustafa Cokay emphasize his importance in the Turkistan Independence Movement. Furthermore, articles published in Milli Turkistan by the above-mentioned authors will be analyzed.
