Legislation on land relations of the Bashkirs in the XVIII-XIX centuries

The article reveals the problems that after the decree of February 11, 1736, the Bashkirs had the right to sell their land plots. This led to an even greater flow of immigrants and the expansion of Bashkir lands. But the alienation was hampered by the confusion of land relations between landowning Bashkirs and their landwinds. The author of the article came to the conclusion that, in this way, the royal authorities tried to correct the land policy in Bashkortostan so that, on the one hand, there was no reason for mass discontent. On the other hand, they tried to achieve the withdrawal of a significant part of the Bashkir lands.
