Abstract
Primary Non-Hodgkin lymphoma of bone (PLB) is a rare entity accounting for approximately 4-5 percentage of extra nodal lymphoma and less than 1 percentage of all Non- Hodgkin lymphoma. Patients generally present with localized bone pain, less frequently, soft-tissue swelling or a palpable mass and pathological fracture. Review of the world literature shows that the incidence of skeletal manifestation from NHL is less than 5 percentage, and in all these cases, bony involvement was reported many years after presentation of the primary tumour. Histopathologically, PLB usually represents diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. Here, We present a case of Primary Non- Hodgkin lymphoma of bone (PLB) in 40 year old male, who presented with pain swelling in left thigh. Open Biopsy from left femur lesion was done. Histopathologically the diagnosis of small round cell tumour was considered. Immunohistochemical studies revealed CD 99 negative, CD 3 Focal positive, CD 20 diffuse intense positivity. Final diagnosis of Primary Non-Hodgkinlymphoma B cell type was given.
