Abstract
Reported here is a case of duplication of right ureter as detected during dissection of a 40 year old male cadaver at Stanley Medical College, Chennai-1.The ureters are two muscular tubes arising from the renal pelvis of kidney. In this case, the right ureter was duplicated. The variation was unilateral. The photographs of duplex right ureter and its origin from renal pelvis were taken for proper documentation. The unilateral duplication of ureter was an important anatomical variation and should be paid attention during urological and gynaecological surgeries. The aim of the present case is to underline the embryological and clinical significance of duplication of ureter.
