Abstract

Convective heat transfer flow of a viscous fluid between stretchable rotating disks in an orthogonal (anisotropic) porous medium is investigated with Cattaneo-Christov heat flux. Velocity and thermal slips are considered over both the disks. Governing equations for the conservation of mass, momentum and energy are formulated and non-dimensionalized using appropriated transformations. Shooting technique is used to solve the solutions of dimentionless equations and results compared with existing results in limiting case to validate the numerical method. Results are reported graphically for fluid velocity (radial and tangential) and temperature profiles between disks and in tabular form for skin friction and Nusselt number over both disks for different values of velocity and thermal slip parameters, Darcy numbers along x and θ-directions and thermal relaxation parameter.
