Abstract
This study presents the topological optimization of a Yamaha DT 125 crankshaft. A shape generation was carried out using Autodesk Inventor software, in addition to a finite element analysis of previous and subsequent elements, in which the loading conditions are defined, restrictions and meshing. analyzing the mechanical behavior of this element under maximum operating conditions. Obtaining a Von Misses equivalent stress reduction of 10.74 %, weight of 5.25 % and a minimum safety factor increase of 10.73 %
