Abstract

The article provides an overview of modern approaches to the study of conflict interaction in the medical field. The limitedness of traditional models of interaction between a doctor and a patient in modern conditions is substantiated. A frequency analysis of the subjective and objective causes of conflicts is presented, psychological mechanisms are described that reflect the stereotypical perception of each other by the parties to the conflict. The data of the author's original studies on the assessment of reference images of a doctor and a patient are presented. The prospect of applying the organizational, structural and personality-role approaches in further studies of the conflicting potential of medical activity is substantiated.
