Abstract
Earthquake is one of the natural disasters that can occur in any country. As a result of earthquake, many residents lost their homes due to severe house damage. People are forced to evacuate to safer places and need temporary shelter immediately. In areas with land access damaged by the earthquake, the distribution of temporary shelters such as tents becomes difficult. For this reason, temporary housing that can be sent immediately even on damaged road conditions is urgently needed. One of the solutions to these problems is a floating house. Floating houses must be planned by fulfilling several requirements such as ease of mobilization, the buoyancy, stability, space sufficiency, the ability to produce its own energy and made from strong and durable materials. The results of this study produced a conceptual design of a floating house in the form of a reinforced concrete pontoon with a container house on top of it. This floating house has 4 beds and a storage cabinet. The electricity source is obtained from solar panels mounted on the roof of the container house. To maintain the stability of floating houses, anchors are used on all four sides of reinforced concrete pontoon.
