Abstract
A study has been carried out on the practices of existing approaches of collection, recycling, treatment and decomposition of Battery waste. The wastes are hazardous because of its nature of generation in its quantity, and its disposal by the agencies with municipal solid wastes. The different approaches has been studied and observed very critically, and a recommendation to handle the hazardous situation has been given. The proposed recommended strategy can be used by the governing bodies for framing the regulations to be stakeholders for collection, recycling so that critical hazardous situation can be overcome.
