Departmental control over preliminary investigation: concept and legal nature

The article reveals the content of the concept of departmental control over the preliminary investigation, compares it with the concept of "procedural control", notes their homogeneity and the inadmissibility of contrasting each other. Theoretical and applied problems arising in connection with the implementation of departmental control by the head of the investigative body are analyzed, and ways to solve them are proposed.
