Abstract
In this article, we examined questions about chronic sports microtraumas, their development mechanisms, and differences from minor injuries. We came to the conclusion that there are two opposite views on the mechanism of development of chronic sports injuries. In the article, we disassembled them and revealed some shortcomings regarding their research. The article also discusses the essence of chronic microtraumas, their mechanism, and treatment. It is necessary to take into account the constant delay in the process of training morphological rearrangements of tissues. With rational training, there is a favorable stimulating effect of functional stimuli on the processes of improving the morphological structures of tissues.
