Abstract

The article presents the extension of dialectical materialism in the philosophy of the outstanding Chinese thinker of the 20th century, Fen Qi (1915–1995), which is reflected in his epistemological and metaphysical theory of wisdom, methodological interpretation of dialectical logic, moral theory of human freedom. It is shown that in the theory of wisdom, Feng Qi is trying to harmonize epistemology, ontology, logic, ethics and aesthetics, but he does not rely on ideas formed in philosophical discussions of the 20th century related with various questions of epistemology. Fen Qi identifies the “wisdom” with “metaphysics”, by which he means the understanding of dao and its transmission as an absolute and apodictic principle governing reality and human existence as a whole. It is noted that for Fen Qi, the transition from knowledge to wisdom becomes possible not through a phased logical analysis of knowledge, but due to sudden enlightenment (“intellectual intuition”). The concept of freedom is at the center of the ideal of modern man in Feng Qi's philosophy, and in order to become free you need to act consciously, voluntarily, naturally, in your own way. Fen Qi in his philosophical system combined the ideas of Confucianism, Taoism, Kantianism and Hegelianism. The most important peculiarity of Feng Qi's philosophy is searching for a path between relativism and dogmatism, which is the most fully reflected in his dialectical logic, theory of wisdom and the moral theory of human freedom.
