Abstract
Decision-making is a choice of the optimal decision out of a set of alternatives. The shortcomings of optimum design are the aprioristic provision on nonemptiness of region of feasibility. Therefore, the justifications of region of feasibility have to precede the search of the optimum design decision. Adoption of the design decisions based on a set of studied factors, assumes that the region of feasibility for them exists. Geological, technical, and economic data have impact on determination of pit depth. This information has probabilistic nature as the error of definition of stocks of mineral is caused by degree of their extent of exploration, and the error of technical and economic data used in calculations is defined by level of their compliance to real conditions of development of a field. On the basis of it, at determination of target depth of a pit and at an assessment of reliability of the received value, it is necessary to use probabilistic methods. Implementation of probabilistic descriptions in model of the solution of mountain tasks heeds an assessment of reliability of made decisions, thus the characteristic of a particular error of studied parameter has to include the value of a mistake and its confidential probability or risk.
