Abstract
The assessment methodology of natural and technogenic safety of hydroecosystems, which provides an assessment of two of its components ? qualitative and quantitative, is suggested. The practical application of a quantitative component of safety for reducing hydroecological risks is considered in the work. The results of the carried-out scientific ecological and expert estimation of new investment construction projects of small scale hydropower plants on the rivers of the Ukrainian Carpathians are given. Technical decisions for increasing the level of technogenic safety and preserving high recreational and tourist potential of the Carpathian region are suggested.
