The Deism-Science Relationship and The Islamic Thought

Abstract
Deism is philosophical-religious movement that has emerged in the West in the 17th and 18th centuries to get a solution to the conflict between religion-science. The solution, that found by de-ism, it was opened the science but against the religion. In this context, the existence of God is accepted; but the facts of divine grace, revelation, prophecy and miracles rejected. Deism is not a dominant philosophical and religious movement today. How-ever, its influence still continuing, by with its unwavering trust in mind, its unfailing sense of God and the emphasis on natural reli-gion. Scientific and theological assumptions have also influenced on Islamic thinking through Social Sciences. The aim of this study is to clarify the effect of the relation between deism and science on Islamic thought by considering Muslim thinkers.
