Abstract
The Arab literature has entered a modernization process in both poetry and prose field from the second half of the ninth century which is considered to be the beginning of the Modern Arabic Lit-erature. The ongoing classical Arabic poetry, within the result of sampling western poetry, has brought not only many poetry cur-rent, poetry school or poetry community but also many poets and writers belonging to these schools to body. In this study, besides a short biography of Syrian poet Omar Abu Risha, short infor-mation about the classic, romantic and parnasist periods will be given.
