Abstract
It can be said that in general oral and written Islamic literature is apparently constructed on the basis of a dualism between the sacred and the profane or between mundane and afterlife. The objective of this study is to try to provide a different perspective to this dualism by questioning the idea of mundane and arguing that it is based on some misconceptions. It may be appropriate to start by asking questions such as: What does the thing that we call world really mean to us? Is it a place of exile that we are forced to inhabit even though our existence does not fit? Or is it a special place specifically designed for us in which we constitute a whole with it?
