The Schemail Sheriff of Mehmet Fahri Pasha as an Example of a Poetic Schemail Sharif in Berguzar-ı Ramazan

With this study, we aim to share knowledge on the life, art and works of Mehmed Fahri Pasha (1860-1932); to reveal all the characteristics of the poetic Şemâil-i Şerif which is written by himself; and to introduce its poet, content, style, formal features, in a detailed way, all of which isn't known well in scientific areas. In this context, first of all we give knowledge on the concepts of Şemâil and hilya. And then, we mention by name about the poetic and prosaic hilyas which is written in the Turkish Literature and their writers. And finally, by giving knowledge on the life, works and the hilya of Mehmed Fahri Paşa we add the the text of hilya at the end of our study.
