Abstract
The article considers the method of transliteration as a way of conveying realities in the Yakut terminological dictionaries. The research material was the Yakut terminological dictionaries published in the late 90s. In the latest terminological dictionaries of the Yakut language with the naked eye, one can notice the widespread use of the phonetic method of transmitting a foreign term. Phonetic assimilation means the replacement of foreign sounds with the sounds of the host language. Many realities are presented in dictionaries in phonetic spelling. Terms phonetic adaptation, taking into account euphony, are exposed, not only widespread, but also functioning recently.
