Abstract
This work presents the results of a study on evaluation of primary and secondary school buildings in the city of Bafoussam, Cameroon. The methods used in the collection of data included the administration of questionnaires to the various managers of public primary and secondary schools in the three districts of Bafoussam (Bafoussam I, Bafoussam II and Bafoussam III). The data collected were analysed using descriptive and analytical statistics. The findings revealed that nearly 87% of the school buildings in the city of Bafoussam are more than 10 years old; most are constructed of reinforced concrete, agglos and rubble, 79% of school buildings in the city of Bafoussam are mainly used for classrooms. The school buildings in the city of Bafoussam are mostly Bungalow, single or multiple storey buildings being in the minority.
