Abstract

The article is devoted to solving an actual problem of determination of effective pedagogical methods and devices of development of children's emotion understanding at different stages of preschool childhood, which is closely related to improving the quality of preschool education. The author reveals the significance of development of emotion understanding at preschool children for their social adaptation in a peer group. The main attention in the article is paid to the characteristic of the complex of visual, verbal, practical and game ped- agogical ways of developing the skills of emotion recognition and emotion knowledge in children ages 3–7. The role of the educator's communication with children and active listening in enhancing children's understanding of their own emotions is emphasized
