Abstract
The article is devoted to the problem of socialization of preschoolers' emotion understanding. The study object is the emotion understanding as a component of children's emotional competence. The study subject is the changes in children's emotion understanding in the context of social interactions. The author reveals the contribution of parents and peers as agents of the socialization of emotions in the development of preschoolers' skills of emotion recognizing and emotional knowledge skills as well as highlights the qualitative aspects of so- cial interactions that facilitate to the growth of the child's emotional competence. The main theoretical state- ments of the article are important for improving the quality of preschool education in the field of children's so- cial and emotional development
