Abstract
This study focuses on the vocal phenomena related to the pronunciation performance such as: stress, intonation and pauses. They are collectively called the supersegmtental phonemes "; by the explanation and analysis of its concepts and grammatical and semantic functions. We depended on the researches of Kamal Bishr in this regard because of his wise and deep analysis of these phenomena. He tried to explain its functions in pronunciation and its importance in interpreting some grammatical phenomena. In addition, it contributes also to explain a grammatical phenomenon virtually. Our ancient grammarians have already recognized these phenomena in their writings.
