Abstract
In this work, some physical parameters for electrical energy consumption were measured which include, operating temperature, air velocity, relative humidity, lighting intensity and air flow which werecompared to the current Malaysian standards for building MS 1525:2014. The data includes lux meter, air velocity meter and temperature and the results were compared with the Malaysian standards. The results are based on the survey which was done for several days to collect all the required data from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm in the two academic building blocks. The average temperature recorded for all the levels is ranging from 21°C –26°C, which is within the standards. In addition, the Building Energy Index (BEI) for 2017/2018 is 134.37 kWh/m2/year which is slightly lower if compared to the maximum energy recommendation, which is 135 kWh/m2/year
