Abstract
The millennial mind strongly exhibits the ability to communicate their ideas bridging creativity in their outputs, critical thinking and collaborative learning in just about any task they are given. These are characteristics and philosophies of the millennial generation according to (Fanzo, 2015) on his journal article, “What is a Millennial Mind?” It is practically acceptable that higher order thinking skills are, in no doubt, in place for this generation of students. Cultivating a strong belief in these said principles, this study forwards the idea of Senior High School students' selfevaluation on their mastery level in the achievement of their learning competencies and that what the students' take, on their own academic belief and self-worth should be given much consideration and weight. Adapted from the Department of Education (DepEd) Curriculum Guide, the learning competencies checklist Likert Scale tool for the subject Practical Research II for the SHS Grade 12 students was designed to promote independent learning and self-check progress at the end of the 1st Semester 2019-2020. This study is also anchored on the DepEd four exits' philosophy towards higher education, entrepreneurship, employment or middle-level skills development. The results shall value the SHS students' self-worth and sense of fulfillment on the Level of Mastery on the achievement of their subject learning competencies.
