Abstract

The article examines the state of organic production in the world and its development in Ukraine. The main problems that stimulate the development of the organic market and ways to overcome them are identified. The classification characteristics of organic products are considered, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of organic production and organic products in the context of the marketing concept. The results of marketing studies of consumer behavior in the market of organic products are presented. It is certain on results research, that an organic production is perspective, taking into account the increasing personal interest from the side of consumers. With every year the amount of consumers that is interested in acquisition and consumption ecologically of clean products grows in Ukraine. Most demand among organic products is used by milk and dairies, meat and meat products, vegetables and fruit, juices, groats, flour. The volumes of export of organic products from Ukraine and the dynamics of its consumption are analyzed. The social advantage of organic agriculture is that it has a high potential for ensuring the livelihoods of the rural population and revitalizing the work of small farms. Along with the growth of the organic sector, the employment of the local population will also increase, since organic farming is less mechanized and, as a rule, needs more manual labor. As a result, organic production can become an effective tool for preserving traditional knowledge of farming in each region, as well as reducing the migration of rural people to megacities.
