Abstract
An appreciable Quality of Work Life is known to be the cornerstone for the success of any organization. The Origin of Quality of work life (QWL) dates back to industrial revolution, when higher productivity was stressed to such a scale that workers were treated as machines or one can say that human factor was totally snubbed. But gradually the practices adopted to improve the QWL prospered. Here an attempt is made to measure the Quality of Work Life of employees through its dimensions with respect to few demographic variables. The dimensions selected for this study are Job satisfaction, Life satisfaction and Job security. The demographic variable chosen are Age, Educational qualification, Experience & Designation. In order to show the strength of association between these variables, bivariate analyses and descriptive analyses are carried out. The results of the study show that the QWL of the employees in private manufacturing industries is appreciable.
