Abstract
Single crystals of 4-amino-N-carbamothioylbenzenesulfonamide (ACBS) have been grown at room temperature using slow evaporation solution growth method. The cell parameters of the grown crystals were calculated through X-ray diffraction analysis. The ACBS crystal belongs to monoclinic crystal system with P21 space group. The crystalline planes were identified by powder X-ray diffraction analysis. The presents of various functional groups in the grown crystal was obtained by Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectral analysis. UV-Vis-NIR, thermal analysis, fluorescence analysis, spectral analysis were carried out in order to study the optical properties of the grown crystal. The molecular structure, mechanical strength and the surface morphology were analyzed through 1H NMR, Vickers microhardness and SEM techniques respectively
