VALUE ASPECTS OF THE INFORMATION SOCIETY

The article is devoted to the analysis of the features of the development of the information society. It is indicated that one of the important features of such a society is its "network" nature. Various aspects of the influence of the Internet as a means of transmitting information on the development of the culture of the infor- mation society and the formation of fundamentally new sociocultural phenomena are considered. It is noted that a change in the forms and means of transmitting information entails changes in the process of its receipt and in- terpretation.
