System of scenario dynamic analysis «Food balance of the DPR»

This paper describes the «Food Balance Sheets», a software module developed by the SI «Economic Research Institute» as part of a departmental order by the Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food. It is a multifunctional tool that will allow to perform analysis of food resources in the DPR. We examine its role and the necessity of development of this product to ensure food security of the DPR and describe its primary capabilities. We then outline the mechanism of its use in the process of managerial decision making in this area and describe the main shortcomings of information support of the food balance sheets that complicate its effective implementation at this time.
