Investigating the Confrontation between Tradition and Modernity in Today's Iranian Society

Iran is a society in transition from traditional to modern society. It can probably be concluded that Iran is very dynamic and mobile because of this transition. The challenge of tradition and modernity in Iran has always existed and they have always been in conflict and opposition. Therefore, the present article, which seeks to "examine the confrontation between tradition and modernity in Iranian society", will expand the conceptual space of the subject of the article and then will examine the situation of Iranian society. According to the thematic documents presented in this article, the research method is descriptive-analytical and the library method has been used to collect information. According to the findings, regarding the confrontation between tradition and modernity in Iranian society and the impact of globalization on it, it can be analyzed that in the traditional era, social and personal problems are less observed due to the type of cohesion, which is mainly mechanical cohesion, but with the transition to the era of imported modernity that was not formed in the cultural context of Iran, we see that the process of modernity is harmful to the context of Iranian society.
