Abstract
As an agro-based nation, Bangladesh is rising by a double burden, as the population is increasing with added food demand and unprecedented consumption of fossil fertilizers. This study examined the relationship between air pollution, agricultural output, fertilizer consumption and the contribution of agriculture to the domestic economy. For a longer period of time from 1972 to 2019, this study followed the Autoregressive Distributed Lag Model (ARDL) with rejecting the null hypothesis of cointegration in the long-run relationship of air pollution to others. Under Short run with ECM in a 1% level of significance suggested significant adjustment towards long-run equilibrium.
