Abstract
Higher education system is essential for national, social and economic development of the country. There is a significant need for quality based higher education system which empowers youth for self-sustainability by inculcating employment skills. Quality education plays an essential role for achieving sustainable growth of the country. This paper attempts to develop an approach for a holistic model of quality in higher education. It includes the details of barriers hampering the quality education and suggests some recommendations for improvement of quality in higher education. The three different perspectives namely faculty, students and management have been used for measuring the quality of services in education sector that gives a holistic view of service quality. These three perspectives should be aligned in such a way so that it will lead to overall service quality and that further leads to sustainable development. This study gives a complete view of the conceptual model of service quality based on these three perspectives
