Abstract

This study aimed at examining the relationship between The Spiritual-Human Values ​​Tendency Scales and responsibility, emotion and behavior levels of students studying at Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus universities. Therefore, humanitarian and spiritual value trends and responsibility, emotion and behavior levels of university students studying in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus have been examined in terms of some variables. The research is a descriptive model, the sample space is a foundation university in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, where the sample group is comprised of undergraduate students (64 female, 136 male) that are studying in that university. In the first stage, The Tendency Scale of Spiritual-Humanistic Values and Responsibility Feeling and Behaviors Scale were applied to those university students to obtain the data. SPSS has been used to analyse the collected data while it is analysed using Kruskal-Wallis H., Mann-Whitney U. and Spearman correlation. According to the quantitative approach results obtained from the study, indicates that there was a significant statistical difference between The Tendency Scale of Spiritual-Humanistic Values scores of the students according to their age groups (p <0.05). The Tendency Scale of Spiritual-Humanistic Values scores of students aged 23 and over are statistically significantly higher than those of students aged 20 and under. According to their gender, there was a significant difference in the love and respect sub-dimensions of The Tendency Scale of Spiritual-Humanistic Values, and the scores of women in the love sub-dimension were significantly higher in the respect sub-dimension (p <0.05). Based on the faculty, the scores of the participants studying in the Faculty of Religious Studies from the scale were found to be significantly higher than the scores of the students studying in the Faculty of Law (p <0.05). It was observed that the scores of students whose parents were together in terms of The Tendency Scale of Spiritual-Humanistic Values according to their parents' association status were significantly higher (p <0.05). When we look at the results of their sense of responsibility and behaviour; According to gender, it was concluded that female students' sense of responsibility was significantly higher than male students (p <0.05). Also, when the parents were examined based on still being together, it was concluded that the sense of responsibility scores of the students whose parents are still together was significantly higher than the scores of the students with separated parents (p <0.05).
