Abstract
Understandability is one of the major factors related to maintainability parameters. Understandability factor plays the identifiable role in the quality constraint of any Object-Oriented (O-O) inheritance hierarchy based software system. By proper identification the understandability leads to the user to know whether the specified system is suitable to our requirements or not. Sub and super classes of individual class diagrams are considered in judging the Understandability of O-O system. Reducing the understandability complexity values give the more simple way to maintain the system. The individual class and total system wise understandability metrics identification is the major part in this paper. One more thing here is to validate the proposed metrics with the well-known Weyuker's properties. This validation process gives the metrics more strength and utilization of these metrics in future proper manner
