Abstract
As a representation of organizational support theory, this study proposes and tests the relationship between perceived supervisor support and perceived organizational support on organizational citizenship behavior of nurses working in selected private hospital. The study considered only the nurses working in ICU. The indicators Altruism, Civic virtue, Conscientiousness, sportsmanship and courtesy are considered to measure organizational citizenship behaviour. The research model is developed and tested with the help of SEM – path analysis. The results shown that all the hypotheses developed for the study are accepted and supported. This study is unique in such a way that only perceived supervisor support and perceived organizational support is considered as the antecedents to measure nurse's organizational citizenship behavior.
